Dig & Grow
Come have an adventure in our organic garden! Learn about the principles of organic gardening, composting, recycling and the role of bees in the garden. This tour will include garden chores and fresh vegetable tastings, when available.
Behind the Scenes with Tractors
Come learn all about tractors! Take a behind-the-scenes look at the tractor restoration process. Includes a tour of the tractor museum and a look inside the machine shop. Tours available on Tuesdays & Thursday’s only.
Farm Life
Visit the Garage Museum to learn about household chores of long ago. Learn how butter was made, view the kitchen tools and discover chores for farm kids. Visit the Meat House, the Boone House and do laundry the old fashion way.
Nature Exploring
Learn about the plants and trees that reside at Forest Home Farms through your 5-Senses
All About Forest Home Farms – this tour provides the background and history of Forest Home Farms, the City’s 16-acre historic property that is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Boy/Girl Scout Badge(s) – a program may be tailored to meet the requirements of the badge. Please send an email with the requirements of the badge you're considering completing at Forest Home Farms.
Glass House
Take a tour of the home and age appropriate hands-on activities conducted by trained, costumed docents. Children will develop a better understanding of daily life in a Victorian era farm house from the mid to late 1800’s through 1910 in the San Ramon Valley.
All tours are approximately 45 minutes in length and include hands-on activities.
