Get updates The charge of the Senior Citizens Advisory Committee, as approved by the San Ramon City Council, is as follows:
  • Advise the staff and Parks and Community Services Commission on the delivery  of various senior citizen recreation and community service activities that   provide recreational, social, educational and health services to the San Ramon Senior Center participants.
  • Provide recommendations to the staff and Commission on senior citizen programs and San Ramon Senior Center policies.
  • Appoint appropriate sub-committees as necessary to further the work of the Center's programs and efforts of the Committee.
  • Receive input from the senior citizen community, including input from other individuals and organizations on issues relevant to the senior citizen community.
  • Act as liaison for senior citizen issues to governmental and private organizations.
  • Advocate senior citizen issues within the entire community.
  • Identify problems of service and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Be a channel of communication between staff, Senior Center participants, and the senior citizen community.
  • Provide feedback to staff on the assessment of current and future needs of the senior citizen community for the purpose of program planning.
  • Minimum age requirement is 55 years.

Public Comment Instructions

Assembly Bill 361 suspends certain provisions of the Brown Act, allowing public meetings to be held via teleconference. As a precaution to protect the health and safety of staff, officials, and the general public, Committee members will not be physically in attendance, but will be available via video conference. 

There will be no physical location for members of the public to participate in the meeting. We encourage members of the public to shelter in place and access the meeting online using the web-video communication application, Zoom. Zoom participants will have the opportunity to speak during Public Comment. 

This meeting will be conducted on the web-video communication platform, Zoom. In order to view or participate in this meeting, members of the public will need to download Zoom from its website, It is recommended that anyone wishing to participate in the meeting complete the download process before the start of the meeting.
