- Develop such specific plans as may be necessary or desirable. It may or, if so directed by the City Council, prepare specific plans based on the General Plan and drafts of such regulations, programs and legislation as may in its judgment be required for the systematic execution of the general plan, it may recommend such plans and measures to the City Council for adoption.
- Investigate and make recommendations to the City Council upon reasonable and practical means for putting into effect the General Plan or part thereof, in order that it will serve as a pattern and guide for the orderly physical growth and development of the City and as a basis for the efficient expenditure of its funds relating to the subjects of the General Plan; the measures recommended may include plans, regulations, financial report and capital budgets.
- Endeavor to promote public interest in and understanding of the General Plan and regulations relating to it.
- Consult with and advise public officials and agencies, public utility companies, civic, educational, professional and other organizations and citizens generally within relation to carrying out the General Plan.

Public Comment Instructions
Pursuant to AB 361, the City is authorized to hold public meetings via teleconferencing and to make public meetings accessible telephonically or otherwise electronically to all members of the public. This meeting will be conducted both in-person and remotely via Zoom. Please note that remote participation in the meeting is optional, and if there are technical or connection issues for Zoom, the Planning Commission meeting will continue.
It is recommended that anyone wishing to view and/or participate in the meeting virtually download the Zoom application, www.zoom.us, before the start of the meeting. Zoom participants will have the opportunity to speak during Public Comment (for topics not on the agenda), in addition to each of the agendized items.
All public comment is subject to the 3 minute time restriction.
