The City of San Ramon welcomes dogs to all of our parks. 

Policies for all of the Leashed Dog Parks:

Bring into or maintain in or upon any park facility any dog, cat or other animal unless such animal at all times is kept on a leash and under full control of its owner or custodian; provided, however, the director may designate areas and times within which persons may show, demonstrate or train unleashed animals under full control of their owners or custodians.

No person owning or having custody or control of any dog shall permit such dog to defecate on any public street, sidewalk, park or parkway without immediately removing the resulting excrement. Persons shall have in their possession the capability to properly dispose of such excrement at the time of occurrence. The excrement so removed shall not be disposed of on any property listed in this chapter except in public refuse receptacles. Persons using Seeing-Eye dogs are exempt from this section.

County ordinance adopted: Division 416 of the Contra Costa County Code establishing animal services centers and staff, and establishing requirements and procedures for animal control, is adopted by reference in its entirety, including all amendments effective as of the effective date of this ordinance, and as may be amended in the future. The provisions of this ordinance shall be enforced by the Contra Costa County Animal Services Department.

San Ramon has a total of 58 beautiful parks.

City parks are open from dawn until dusk. Park fields and courts with lights are  open until 10:00 p.m. when the lights are active or by reservation.

How to use the Parks Map:

  • Click on the bright green polygon areas on the map to pull up the name of the Park and to check out the amenities available at that location. 
  • If you are looking for a park near a specific location, type in the address in the upper right hand corner of the map.  Click the magnifying glass (Search) - this will re-position the map to the address location and you can then click on the plus or minus buttons to zoom in or out. 
  • If you know the name of the park, just type it into the upper right hand corner of the map.  Click the magnifying glass (Search) - this will re-position the map to the address location and you can then click on the plus or minus buttons to zoom in or out.  and the map will locate it for you.
