Explore local parks in San Ramon while celebrating Earth Month!
This event is FREE and for all ages. Registrants will receive an e-mail (or for participants trying to de-digitize their lives, hardcopies will be available at the Forest Home Farms Park office starting April 1st, 2026. Address: 19953 San Ramon Valley Boulevard) with a Park Passport containing a list of San Ramon parks to explore, Earth Day tips, fun facts, scavenger hunts and other activities to complete in each park. A fun, free way to connect with nature in San Ramon!

Birding and Nature Stroll

Gear up for National Go Birding Day and celebrate Earth and Arbor Day with this morning bird and nature stroll at Forest Home Farms. Learn how to anticipate what birds (and other wildlife) you might find based on environmental clues. Bring binoculars (if you have them). Stick around after the walk for Earth Day crafts and a special tree planting!
We will be strolling on mostly flat paved and unpaved surfaces, including dirt and gravel. Program can be adapted for wheelchair users. All ages welcome, but children must be supervised by an adult.

"Coloring Nature" Hand Tinting Workshop

Discover the art of Hand Tinting while connecting with nature, during this fun and relaxing workshop. Hand tinting is the art of colorizing photos, invented during the era of black and white photography. Participants will learn the history of this enjoyable art, as well the natural history of the plants we color while practicing hand tinting black and white photos of plants we observe in the garden.
