Volunteer Opportunity: City Hall Tour Docent
The San Ramon City Clerk’s office is seeking docents to lead third grade school tours of City Hall during the school year. The program includes: a tour of City Hall, a meet and greet with the Mayor, and a scripted mock City Council meeting. The tours are scheduled on weekdays by City Clerk staff and last from 9:30 am – 11:00 am. You do not have to be present for every tour, but will be required to conduct a minimum of 5 tours during the school year. You will be able to select dates you are available. All docents must pass a background and fingerprint check.

Volunteer Opportunity: City Hall Greeter
Would you like to welcome guests to City Hall? In a friendly, efficient and courteous manner, you can assist with guest inquiries, directions, and initial questions regarding the facility or services.
City Hall Greeters:
- Provide professional hospitality in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner to all guests
- Greet all guests with a smile
- Maintain accuracy and composure while under pressure
- Appropriately use salutation of the day and welcome to facility
- Share knowledge of City Hall, departments, amenities, services, main attractions in the area, etc.
- Continually monitor and maintain cleanliness of City Hall rotunda
- Multilingual is a bonus!
Volunteers can choose one or more shifts per week.
Available Shifts:
Monday 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Tuesday 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m. 12:30–4 p.m.
Wednesday 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Thursday 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Friday 12:30–4 p.m.
