June 13, 2025 Update:

City Council adopts the updated San Ramon Climate Action Plan (CAP) and the CEQA GHG Emissions Thresholds and Guidance Report 

On June 10, 2025, the City Council held a public hearing meeting and unanimously voted to adopt Resolution No. 2025-073 which adopts an updated San Ramon Climate Action Plan (CAP) and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Thresholds and Guidance Report. The updated CAP and associated documents are effective immediately after adoption and replace the previous 2011 CAP, in its entirety.

The updated CAP is the primary implementation strategy of the San Ramon General Plan 2040 to establish a long-term Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reduction strategy consistent with State GHG reduction targets for the years 2030 and 2045.

Project Description:

Adoption of the updated Climate Action Plan (CAP Update). The CAP Update is the primary implementation strategy of the San Ramon General Plan 2040 to establish a long-term Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reduction strategy consistent with State GHG reduction targets for the years 2030 and 2045. The CAP Update will incorporate revisions to narratives, measures, strategies, data, and figures.

SAID PUBLIC HEARING will be held by the City of San Ramon City Council commencing at 7:00 PM, on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 in the City Hall Council Chamber located at 7000 Bollinger Canyon Road. The full meeting agenda will be available online at least 72 hours prior to the meeting at www.sanramon.ca.gov/meeting under the June 10, 2025 event date.

Planning Commission Public Meeting on May 6, 2025:

The Planning Commission held a Public Meeting on May 6, 2025 and received public comment on the draft CAP Update. Ultimately, the Planning Commission provided feedback supporting City Council approval of the draft CAP Update with comments regarding future implementation.
