How did I get a reinspection fee?

 

Reinspection fees are created for the following reasons:

  1. Failing your inspection for the same correction item(s) at two or more separate inspections.
  2. Failing to show up to the inspection when the inspection was requested. All requested inspections have a 2-hour window that can be obtained by calling 925-973-2580 between 7:30 am and 8:00 am on the day of the inspection or by checking the following link https://srch-munis-web.sanramon.ca.gov/EnerGov_Prod/SelfService#/inspection/todaysinspections. You have a 2-hour window so if your estimated start time says 9:00 am then your window is 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
  3. Failing to have a ladder set up and tied off with three rungs above eve prior to the inspector’s arrival for all reroofing permits or solar permits. 
  4. Failing to be ready for your inspection i.e. work not started, work in progress, no show, contractor not being onsite, inadequate tools for inspection.

Reinspection fees are not a source of revenue for the City, they are a fine to ensure compliance with inspection processes.
