Deadline Approaching: City Council Candidate Filing Period
Closes Friday, August 7 at 5 p.m.
A General Election will take place on November 3, 2026.
City of San Ramon positions open for the upcoming election are:
- Mayor
- Councilmember District 2
- Councilmember District 4
The period to file nomination papers opened on July 13, 2026 and ends on August 7, 2026 at 5 p.m.
If applicable, the extended nomination period will close on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Dive-in Movie: How to Train Your Dragon (Live Action)

Dive-In Moviesare a fun time to hang out at the pool and watch a great movie. Bring your friends and family to the San Ramon Olympic Pool (9900 Broadmoor Drive, San Ramon, CA 94583) on Friday, August 7 and enjoyRecreation Swimstarting at7 p.m. Once the sun starts to go down, the pool will close for a short portion of time so it can be transitioned for the movie. Swimmers will be invited back into the pool to float and enjoy the movie in the water, which will begin at 8:10 p.m.
If watching from the deck, be sure to remember your chair and blankets!

Apply Now: SRPD Community Academy – Fall 2026
Application Deadline: Friday, August 14
Applications are open for the Fall 2026 session of San Ramon Police Department's FREE Community Academy!
This 14-session course is taught by police officers and department personnel in their area of expertise, using a mix of lecture, demonstrations and hands-on activities.
Weekly three-hour classes cover a range of topics including patrol, criminal investigations, traffic stops, crime scenes, narcotics, DUI enforcement, use of force, officer safety, community policing, and defensive tactics. The Community Academy will take field trips to the Marsh Creek shooting range and the Contra Costa Sheriff's Office high speed driving course.
The Fall 2026 Academy is scheduled to begin August 19, 2026. Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 6:30–9 p.m., plus two Saturday sessions.
The program is open to adults age 18 and up who live or work within the City of San Ramon.

Whether you've attended recreational swim program in the past, visited one of San Ramon's aquatic facilities for another program, or haven't had the chance to join us yet, your feedback is incredibly valuable.
Your responses will help the City evaluate current programs, identify barriers to participation, and guide future improvements to schedules, amenities, and services.

San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District is pleased to offerPersonal Emergency Preparedness (PEP) Classesevery month in 2026!
What do you personally need in your Emergency Preparedness Kit? Have you wanted to start a kit or create an emergency plan, but have not found the motivation? It's time to find out what YOU need to be ready and respond in a disaster situation.
PEP is designed for individuals and families (ages 10–110) to learn the importance ofpersonal and home disaster preparedness, and how to survive after a major emergency. This class will prepare the individual, their home and their family with the information, supplies and skills needed to be self-sufficient for 7+ days in a disaster.
During this FREE PEP Class, participants will learn:
- What to do before, during and after a major emergency
- Hazard Mitigation and Utility Control
- Personal and Family Emergency Supplies
- Staying Calm Amid Chaos
Upon completion of the program, participants will have the knowledge and resources to create a home emergency plan, build an emergency kit with supplies, and complete basic emergency response tasks in and around their home.
