The San Ramon Police Department (SRPD) handles firearms in three ways: they can be confiscated as evidence, held temporarily for safekeeping, or turned in voluntarily for destruction.
Please note that legally, not all firearms can be returned to their owners. If your firearm is deemed eligible for release, you must follow this mandatory state process to retrieve it:
