Available Appointments:

Depending on the Commission, Committee or Board, the City Council or a subcommittee of the City Council will review all applications, conduct interviews and make recommendations for appointment. The final appointments for all Committees, Commissions, and Boards are determined by the City Council.

Commissioners and committee members must reside in the City of San Ramon and be 18 years of age or older (with the exception of members of the Teen Council and the student representative on the Parks and Community Services Commission).

ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD 

The Architectural Review Board provides professional review of design improvements in relation to site layout, architectural design, height, bulk, mass, materials, colors, lighting, signage, landscaping, etc.  The position serves a two-year term and meets monthly on the second Thursday of the month at 2:00 p.m. May also meet on the fourth Thursday of the month as needed. Applicants must be professional licensed architects to apply. For more information about the role and responsibilities of an Architectural Review Board Member, please review the City's web page, and by-laws.

SAN RAMON POET LAUREATE  

The San Ramon Poet Laureate will serve as a public advocate for the appreciation and advancement of the literary arts, particularly poetry in the City of San Ramon. The role also includes serving as a liaison to local literary organizations, advising the Arts Advisory Committee on poetry-related matters, and potentially leading poetry workshops or public readings. Contra Costa County Openings:

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY LIBRARY COMMISSION 

The Contra Costa County Library Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors and the County Librarian and provides a forum for the community to provide input concerning Library operations and recommends proposals to the Board of Supervisors and the County Librarian which may improve the library. The position serves a four-year term and meets the third Thursday of every other month at 7:00 p.m. Additional information can be found at the Contra Costa County Library Commission website. Interested applicants must apply through San Ramon using the application link provided.
