Pharmaceutical Disposal Bin

Disposing of medications down the toilet, drain or in the garbage (residential or commercial) is harmful to the environment. You can dispose of your unwanted or expired prescription and non-prescription medications in the Pharmaceutical Disposal Kiosk located in the lobby of the San Ramon Police Department.

Weekends - CLOSED

We accept pills, as well as liquids, creams and gels in the original container. Please, be sure the lids are on tight and they are sealed in a plastic bag. The San Ramon Police Department can provide you with a plastic bag, if needed.

*** Pharmaceuticals are only accepted for disposal during business hours, please DO NOT leave medication outside the Police Department's front door when the business office is closed. ***

We DO NOT accept sharps, lancets or EpiPens. Sharps may be disposed of at the San Ramon Valley Fire District's Administrative Office, at 1500 Bollinger Canyon Road in San Ramon. The drop box is located just outside the front door and is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
