Perfect For Scouts And Birthday Parties*

Nature Exploring (Ages 2+) – learn about the plants and trees that reside at Forest Home Farms through your 5 senses! Includes a story time, viewing the animals, and playing with wool.

 Dig & Grow (Ages 4+) - Come have an adventure in our organic garden! Learn about the principles of organic gardening, composting, how the animals help the garden, recycling, and the role of bees in the garden. This tour will include garden chores and fresh vegetable tastings, when available.

 Around the Farm (Ages 7+) – visit the Garage Museum to learn about household chores of long ago.  Learn how butter was made, view the kitchen tools and discover chores for farm kids.  Visit the Meat House, the Boone House and the Tractor Museum.

Scout Badge(s) – a program may be tailored to meet the requirements of the badge.

Glass House (Ages 7+) -  take a tour of the home and age appropriate hands-on activities conducted by trained, costumed docents. Children will develop a better understanding of daily life in a Victorian era farm house from the mid to late 1800’s through 1910 in the San Ramon Valley.

Behind the Scenes with Tractors (Adults) come learn all about tractors!  Take a behind-the-scenes look at the tractor restoration process.  Includes a tour of the tractor museum and a look inside the machine shop.  Tours available on Tuesdays & Thursday’s only.

All About Forest Home Farms (Adults) Learn about the history of this 16-acre property and how it came to be on the National Register of Historic Places. This tour includes a walk around the property, history on various outbuildings, and tours inside such spaces as the meat locker, tractor museum, and restored 1850s barn.

All tours are approximately 45 minutes in length and include hands-on activities.
