San Ramon Trail Walks

Join us for our trail walks led by the San Ramon Open Space Advisory Committee.  On these hikes we will take several breaks to discuss featured nature elements, open space areas, and about the Open Space Advisory Committee.  These hikes are free, however pre-registration is required.  Trails will not be paved, so please wear appropriate footwear.    

Creekside to Old Dougherty Road Walk

Join our Open Space Advisory Committee on this mostly flat, 3.5-mile walk that will take you from Creekside Park along Stoneleaf Road to Old Dougherty Road, eventually bringing you back to your starting point. Led by a member of the San Ramon Open Space Advisory Committee, participants will have the opportunity to learn and ask questions about San Ramon’s trails, open space, and about the Open Space Advisory Committee. The path is fully paved, but please wear appropriate footwear. The walk is free, however pre-registration is required.

Location: Park in the Creekside Park parking lot, located at 1343 S Wedgewood Rd, San Ramon, CA 94582.

Alamo Creek Trail Walk

Discover the Dougherty Valley with a hike on the Alamo Creek Trail. This mostly flat, 3 mile hike will take you from Souyen Park and wind through the rolling Dougherty Valley hills, eventually bringing you back to your starting point. Seth Adams, Save Mount Diablo’s Land Conservation Director and a member of the San Ramon Open Space Advisory Committee, will lead a hike where you will learn about San Ramon’s creeks, open space, and about the Open Space Advisory Committee. Part of the trail is paved and part is dirt, so please wear appropriate footwear. The walk is free, however pre-registration is required.

Location: Park in the Souyen Park parking lot, located at 1548 Watermill Road, San Ramon, CA 94582.
