San Ramon Youth SportsThe City of San Ramon has been proudly offering this multi-sport camp at Central Park for more than a decade. Participants may be excited to see their favorite San Ramon Youth Sports staff member from Little Dribblers working at this camp to bring fun and adventure. We may be a little biased, but we definitely think our camp is the funnest experience of summer!

Crazy 4 Sports will be offered in a two week format, providing small stable groups of 12 participants with dedicated staff for the full session. Badminton Camp with Instructor Lu

Badminton camp is a week long program geared towards introduction of basic badminton. This camp will introduce players to the rules of the game, including the new 21 point rally scoring system, basic strokes, racket grips, and game play.

Riad Hossain has been providing badminton classes with the City for 2 years. He is a member of the San Ramon community and recently was appointed an assistant coach for the Badminton team at Dougherty Valley High School. He brings a passion for the sport and a wealth of knowledge that he looks forward to sharing with his participants.

Hotshot Beginning & Intermediate Badminton Camp

Program provides instruction on fundamentals for beginner and intermediate level players. Students will develop and improve stroke techniques, footwork skills, and knowledge of singles and doubles strategies. Students will learn and enhance the four fundamental shots: clears, drops, drives and smashes. The fundamentals of the forehand, backhand, service, basic strokes, and racket grip will be taught. Students will learn to rally, drop, hit, serve, and smash the birdie through fun skill building drills of badminton, including rally contests, mini match games and full match games.Students will be grouped based on skill level. Students will progress from beginner to intermediate level by gaining confidence and developing skills in playing Badminton.No previous badminton experience is necessary.

Skyhawks Sports Academy was founded in Spokane, Washington in 1979 with a simple goal: to give all children, regardless of skill or athletic level, the opportunity to experience the joy and benefits of sports. Teamwork, respect, responsibility, and sportsmanship are required to succeed in any sport, and those same skills prove crucial for success throughout life. Today, Skyhawks operates programs in 26 different states, from our home in the Pacific Northwest to New England and beyond. Skyhawks baseball staff teach the fundamentals of fielding, catching, throwing, hitting and base running, all in a fun, positive environment. Specifically designed for beginning and intermediate players, this program teaches athletes new baseball skills along with vital life lessons such as respect, teamwork, and responsibility.

About The Instructor

Coach Nkem Ifejika has over 20 years experience as a former player turned current coach.The DC metropolitan native relocated to the Bay Area in 2016, Where she noticed the lack of women representation throughout programs in the bay area. As a result, she saw this as a major barrier towards young and passionate female athletes and the influence sport has on adolescent development.

She now serves as a local PE teacher, basketball coach and mentor in a variety of youth and high school basketball and local organizations specifically she has coached and mentored female student athletes which includes assessing players,working hands-on with players to teach the fundamentals of basketball, teamplay and assisting with the academic and NCAA collegiate recruiting process.

She received her BA in Psychology from Hampton University. She enjoys being a mom, expanding and building girls basketball communities, mentoring, coaching, and tutoring the next generation of female student-athletes in the Bay area.

For The Love of Basketball: We Got Next Camp

For the love of basketball’s We Got Next will be hosted by coach Nkem Ifejika. Our camps combine fun interactive games, on-court training and off-court life skills lessons to build girls’ confidence, prepare them for the challenges of adolescence and teach values like teamwork and integrity. We encourage all skill levels to participate in our new wave of girls basketball.

On the Ball Sports has offered camps here in the City for over a decade. Currently, they offer basketball and volleyball camps. Basketball is led by local high school coach Pete Morales (Amador Valley) while Todd Baham (California) directs volleyball. Both coaches are assisted by current and former high school and college players that the participants love! Their goal is to make fundamentals fun!

This camp is directed by Amador Valley basketball coach Pete Morales and his talented staff. Coach Morales and/or his staff will cover offensive & defensive concepts in addition to 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games. All participants will take part in drills and games each day and will receive a shirt at the conclusion of the camp.

One on One Basketball

 One on One Basketball - East Bay/Marin Region is beginning their 20th year of running youth sports programs in the Bay Area. Regionally, they have provided after school enrichment classes, camps, classes, leagues, and as well as travel teams). Their region continues to be a leader in After School Sports Enrichment classes in the Bay Area. As a company, they value the opportunity to introduce sports to new and experienced participants.

Regional Director, Brent Wyse, grew up in Danville, CA and enjoyed a successful High School career at San Ramon Valley HS. Brent was fortunate to earn a scholarship to play 4 years of collegiatebasketball at UC Davis. Brent was naturally drawn to coaching following his playing career. He has a passion for furthering the sport and paying it forward to the younger generation. However, you can catch Brent on the courts in local adult basketball leagues.

One on One Hoops Camp 

Directed by One on One Basketball, this camp is designed for each participant to have fun while learning to become a better basketball player. The camps will emphasize skill development through teaching of contemporary basketball fundamentals. Participants will be able to improve their basic skills and develop new skills while also learning how to apply the skills to both individual and team situations. The camp will feature daily games and contests to create a more enjoyable experience for all participants. Areas covered include shooting, passing, ball handling moves, rebounding, post moves, transition, and defense. Staff to participant ratio: 1:10.

 The Hoop It Up Summer Basketball Camp by National Academy of Athletics is packed with fun. Whether your child is a beginner or more advanced player, the drills taught at this camp will help them fall in love with the game. Our basketball camps are the perfect place to learn about the game and fitness while having a blast and making new friends. Featuring proper conditioning and warm-ups, balance and coordination, handshake competition, shooting and lay ups, confidence builder program, footwork, speed and agility, competitions and games, defensive and offensive concepts, teamwork and cooperation, ball handling, passing and dribbling.

USA BMX Stem Camp

This action-packed camp combines cycling and STEM to create an awesome & unforgettable week of camp. Equal parts exercise and education, participants use BMX bikes to perform experiments to explore concepts such as force, friction, resistance, circumference and momentum. Participants should have basic cycling experience. Bikes and helmets will be provided for each participants.. At no time during the program will participants be doing tricks or jumps. The week culminates with a visit to the San Ramon BMX track at Memorial Park. All participants receive an exclusive jersey, water bottle and number plate.

The week culminates with the camp being held at the BMX track at Memorial Park. Campers will need to be dropped off and picked up from Memorial Park on Friday, transportation will not be provided.

Your favorite P.E. game is now a camp! Kids love this camp. It is more than just a game, kids learn throwing, catching techniques and of course, the learn how to dip, dive, duck and of course DODGE a ball. They will participate in a variety of skills challenges, competition and games that will lead to a dodgeball tournament on Friday afternoon. Your children will learn new skills while having a blast and making new friends. Featuring: proper conditioning and warm-ups, balance and coordination, speed and agility, handshake competition, build motor skills & coordination, confidence builder program, catching and throwing techniques, competitions and games,teamwork and cooperation.

1ON1 Esports Camp

A unique camp combining physical activity with an opportunity to play some of the most popular Esports games. Spend half the time developing sports skills and playing games like basketball, soccer, handball and capture-the-flag, with emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship. The other half of the time is spent in the Esports lab to work on gaming technique and strategy using NBA2K, Madden, FIFA, NHL, Gran Turismo and MLB The Show. We’ll put our skills to the test with Championship Friday!
Fencing

Diablo Valley Fencing Club

About The Instructor

Coach Richard Martinez started fencing at Jamaica High School, Queens N.Y in 1974. In 1977 he was recruited the San Jose State Fencing Team by Maestro Michael D’asaro Sr. During college he medaled at local, state, national competitions. He was nationally ranked and is a two time NCAA ALL AMERICAN.

Seeing the obvious need for fencing the San Ramon Valley area he developed a Fencing Program with the City of San Ramon Parks and Recreation Department. This grass roots effort to establish a fencing program in the area has meet with great success.

Fencing Camps

Beginning: Foil fencing camp instructs beginner the rules, techniques and strategies of fencing with emphasis on footwork, blade work, safety and most importantly FUN! Camp consist of warm up exercises, footwork drills, followed by blade work practice, supervised matches between fencers. There will be Fun Fencing games! The idea is to get the students fencing quickly, exercising physically while learning a sport that keeps the mind active.

Intermediate - Advanced: Intermediate-Advanced Fencing Camp is for fencers who have advanced to those levels or by Invitation by Instructor. Camp is geared toward advancing each fencer's skills. 6 Electric Scoring Strips for fencing. Video Training, strategy discussions, agility training, equipment understanding and care, and Fun Fencing Games. Fencers MUST have full fencing uniform and electric equipment.

Skyhawks flag football is the perfect program for your young athletes who want a complete introduction to America's Game or for those who simply want to brush up on their skills in preparation for league play. Skyhawks SNAG Golf Camp

Campers will learn the fundamentals of swinging, putting, and body positioning. Skyhawks has adopted the SNAG (Starting New At Golf) system to its curriculum. SNAG is specifically designed for the entry-level player; SNAG simplifies instruction so that young players can make an easy and effective transition onto the golf course. All equipment provided.

All participants receive a t-shirt and a merit award. The participant-to-coach ratio is approximately 8:1. Participants should bring appropriate clothing, two snacks, a water bottle, running shoes, and sunscreen.

California Gymnastic Services offers classes throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and is structured to bring its innovative instructional program into your preschool, day care, family home care, elementary school, studio or community center. CGS has been teaching in Bay Area schools since 1985.

Our classes are comprised of a variety of different activities that are customized to your children's age and skill level.  Our knowledgeable and experienced instructors allow each student to advance at his or her own pace in a fun, non-competitive, learning environment.  The goals of our program are to:

Children will learn beginning gymnastics and tumbling skills, use a variety of gymnastics equipment, participate in a variety of group activities, and are introduced to strength and flexibility exercises all while having fun!

Dublin Iceland

About The Instructor

  On April 7, 1975 Dublin Iceland opened its doors for the first time. Public sessions and learn-to-skate classes introduced the people of Dublin to this sport. Coaches from different parts of the Bay Area came to teach the young and young at heart to skate. Soon, there was a thriving group of skating enthusiasts at the new rink.

In addition to public sessions that serve the community at large, figure skating and hockey programs began to grow. Both the St Moritz Ice Skating Club and Tri-Valley Minor Hockey Association started programs at the new rink that continue today.

The rink offers regular freestyle sessions for competitive figure skaters and those receiving private instruction. Also, the St Moritz Ice Skating Club offers figure skaters the opportunity to test, participate in exhibitions, ice shows and competitions. The Dublin rink hosts these events whenever needed. Skate St Moritz, a figure skating competition which originated at the Dublin rink, is considered to be one of the premiere competitions in Northern California. Many skaters who participate in this event and train at Dublin Iceland go on to skate at regional, sectional and the national championships.

Through 37 years of operation, Dublin Iceland remains a relevant operation for today’s customer.

Camp Freeze Summer Camps

'Beat the Heat and Cool Your Feet.' Join us at Dublin Iceland for a fun recreational camp for children to learn the basic fundamentals of ice skating. Activities include: playing in and building a snowman in our 'summer snow' ice painting, ice bowling, hockey 'can you make a goal', and more. You will even have your picture taken on the Zamboni ice resurfacing machine and learn simple choreography for the end of the week show.

Skyhawks LAX Camp

Suit up and come find out why it has grown to be one of the fastest growing sports in the country. Lacrosse combines the basic skills used in soccer, basketball, and hockey into one fast paced, high scoring game. Athletes will learn all the fundamentals of stick handling, cradling, passing, and shooting, all in a fun, non-checking environment. Our staff will ensure that campers not only learn the sport of lacrosse, but also important life skills such as respect, teamwork, and discipline. A fun-filled sports program designed for kids ages 6-10! Sports may include, but are not limited to dodgeball, kickball, soccer, basketball, capture the flag, ultimate camouflage, and water balloon toss. We have weekly themes such as the Playground Olympics and Superheroes. Don't forget the best part - water games on Thursdays or Fridays (don't worry, we send out an email with details the week of camp ;) Combine this camp with other sports camps or Adventure Club for a full day of FUN!

Skyhawks Multi-Sports

Our multi-sport camp is designed to introduce athletes to a variety of different sports in one setting. Athletes will learn the rules and essentials skills of each sport along with vital life lessons such as respect and teamwork.

All participants receive a t-shirt. Participants should bring appropriate clothing, two snacks, a water bottle, running shoes, and sunscreen.

Rhythmic Gymnastics

American Academy of Rhythmic Gymnastics

About The  Instructor

Marina was born in Odessa, Ukraine where she trained at the Sport School #1 and received her Candidate of Masters in Rhythmic Gymnastics. She then went to Polytechnic Institute in Riga, Latvia were she received Master of Science, Mechanical Engineering with minor in Physical Education.

Marina worked in Menlo Park Dance Academy as a coach and city of Fremont before she opened American Academy of Rhythmic gymnastics. She took Elite Coaching course in Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center and was offered a job there, but had to decline due to birth of her son.

As a certified judge, Marina is participating in judging courses every year. She was the official judging coordinator for all sanctioned competitions in the state of California.

Two of her gymnasts won national competition in St. Louis, MO.

American Academy gymnasts participated in numerous State, Regional and International competitions.

For the past ten years Marina was involved extensively with Latin dancing, not only studding rhythm and techniques, but helping dancers to stay in shape and rehabilitate quickly after the injuries.

Rhythmic Gymnasic Camps

Beginner: Girls 6 through 13 are welcome to participate in rhythmic gymnastics camp that includes: stretching techniques, yoga and games for coordination; classes on tumbling, ballet, creative dance and nutritional seminar; work on routines with ribbons, jump rope, hoop and ball; body sculpting, muscle toning and partner workouts. We will have an Olympic day and a show for the parents.

Intermediate: At this camp gymnasts will be introduced to new elements and will have a chance to dramatically improve their flexibility and muscle tone. Gymnasts will also improve their logical and analytical thinking, teamwork skills, self-confidence and sportsmanship. Pilates, yoga, intensive classical ballet and modern dance movement will also be part of their training. We will have a mini Olympic Trials and culminate in a performance for the parents.

Basic Fun Conditioning: This camp offers fun games and movement exercises including yoga, pilates, focusing on improving coordination, balance and working on endurance and strength. Teamwork is encouraged.

This class is an introduction to a lifelong fitness program and gives a solid foundation to any sport.

The Intro To Rugby Summer Camp by National Academy of Athletics is packed with fun. Whether your child is a beginner or more intermediate player, the drills taught at this camp will help them fall in love with the game. Each day campers practice and play a form of flag rugby. It is the perfect place to learn about the game and fitness while having a blast and making new friends.You can feel good sending your kids to a non contact, summer rugby camp that’s in a fun and safe environment with a motivating and positive coaching staff.   The Rob Skate Academy has been around for over 13 years serving the San Francisco, Bay Area and many other places across the US. We specialize in mindfulness mentorship through the power of skateboarding as well as teaching individuals how to skateboard safely and properly. Rob himself is an Olympic level trainer working with top athletes from around the globe prepping for the 2020 Olympics.

For those who are seeking a higher level of training Rob is taking on a small handful of new clients this 2020 season. All other instructors are "Rob Skate Certified" which means they went through a full training and safety course before being placed out on the field.

Coach Akshay Arora (USPTA Certified Elite Professional) has operated Arora Tennis and Fitness in the East Bay Area for more than a decade. He is the 2014 Bay Area News Group Coach of the Year and 2016 USPTA NorCal High School Coach of the Year. Coach Akshay is also the current Head Coach for the boys Dougherty Valley High School Team leading them to four out of the last six seasons, 1st place finishes in North Coast Section (record high). At Arora Tennis and Fitness, you will be trained by highly qualified coaches. Many of whom are currently occupying Head Coaching positions at Dublin, Dougherty and Monte Vista High School. Arora Tennis has trained over 500 ranked junior tournament level players and over 30 players have received college tennis scholarships to schools such as Stanford, Harvard, UCLA, Columbia, Carnegie Mellon, Cal Poly (SLO) and many more. Camp Central Tennis Camps
Beginner-Low Intermediate Fun skill building drills helps students learn the basics faster while building confidence. Rally contests, drills, games, scoring, rules, and end of camp tournament are included. Students will be grouped by age and ability. In addition to tennis instruction and game play, campers will enjoy Central Park grassy areas during designated breaks (supervised by Tennis staff).

Tots Rockets Mini Camp at Central Park
This program is designed for our youngest players, ages 4 to 6 and is designed to expose and introduce these players to the game of tennis. The program is taught using specifically designed nets and color coded balls (Red, Orange, Green) created by the USTA to modify the game with the goal of developing beginning players. Our age -level appropriate drills will teach your child the basic skills of tennis including hand-eye coordination, movement and agility in a fun and exciting atmosphere.

Skyhawks Track & Field was developed to introduce young athletes to this sport rich in tradition and history. These programs combine technical development and fundamental techniques with safety and a major focus on fun! Using special equipment, our exercises and drills will prepare athletes for a future in cross-country, track and field events, distance running, while inspiring a love for running and being active. The fundamentals of body positioning, stride, proper stretching, and cool-down techniques are all covered in this unique program. Participants will put it all together for one fun-filled day at the end of the week at the Skyhawks Olympic track meet!

Youth and Teen Progressive Volleyball Camps

 This camp will totally immerse you in the sport, giving you a high level of instruction and practice time in each skill area. Fundamental skills and proper mechanics will be taught for attacking, passing, digging, setting, serving and blocking. Fundamental training will include a strong emphasis on the hands, footwork, contact and movement skills needed for consistent and accurate delivery and control of the ball. This is an excellent camp for players of all levels; players are grouped and/or coached by age and experience. The camp will devote a different skill for each day and finish up with competition play that will be age appropriate. It is our hope that the camp will increase your love for volleyball.

On The Ball Sports

On the Ball Sports has offered camps here in the City for over a decade. Currently, they offer basketball and volleyball camps. Basketball is led by local high school coach Pete Morales (Amador Valley) while Todd Baham (California) directs volleyball. Both coaches are assisted by current and former high school and college players that the participants love! Their goal is to make fundamentals fun!

On the Ball Volleyball Camps
Camp Director, Todd Baham, Varsity Women's Volleyball Coach at Cal High, will direct this weeklong volleyball camp focused on individual skill development of all ability levels, as well as team play and concepts. Coach Baham has vast playing and coaching experience from youth to collegiate levels. Staff will be comprised of current and former high school players with a camper to coach ratio of 8:1. At the conclusion of camp, all participants will receive a t-shirt.
