Voting Information for California Gubernatorial (Governor) Recall Election
Election Day: Tuesday, September 14, 2021

Secure Ballot Drop Boxes

  • Ballots for the 2021 California Gubernatorial (Governor) Recall Election have been mailed by Contra Costa County. You can still register online to vote until August 30, 2021, and receive a ballot in the mail.

  • After August 30, 2021, you can register to vote using Conditional Voter Registration. The voter registration deadline is 15 days prior to Election Day (September 14, 2021). However, after that deadline and through Election Day you can still register and vote in person using Conditional Voter Registration. It is a one-stop opportunity to register and cast your ballot, and is available at Contra Costa County Elections office, Regional Early Voting sites, and all polling places on Election Day.

  • You have several secure options for returning your ballot: mail, drop box, or in person at your voting location, polling place, or county elections office.

  • There are four (4) secure ballot drop box locations in San Ramon (2 indoor, 2 outdoor):
    • San Ramon City Hall (7000 Bollinger Canyon Road) – indoor (Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
    • Alcosta Senior and Community Center (9300 Alcosta Boulevard) – indoor (Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
    • Dougherty Station Community Center (17011 Bollinger Canyon Rd) – outdoor (24 hours a day, closes September 14, 2021 at 8:00 p.m.)
    • San Ramon Community Center (12501 Alcosta Blvd) – outdoor (24 hours a day, closes September 14, 2021 at 8:00 p.m.
  • In-person voting takes place on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 7 a.m.– 8 p.m. To vote in person, find your local polling place, view a complete list of regional early voting locations in Contra Costa County, or view information on voting at the Contra Costa County Elections Office, click here.

Upcoming: Live City Update on Return to School
Fri, Aug 20 at 9 a.m.

City Update

The next City Update will be streamed live on YouTube this Friday, August 20 at 9 a.m. Following an introduction from Councilmember Perkins, guests from the San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) will share updates on the return to school.

Guests include SRVUSD Superintendent Dr. John Malloy, SRVUSD Board President Susanna Ordway, and SRVUSD Board Member Laura Bratt.

Residents can submit questions by emailing [email protected] and including “City Update” in the subject line. Guests will answer as many questions as time allows.

All City Updates will be recorded and available to watch on the City’s website and YouTube channel following the live event.

Construction Alert: Alcosta Boulevard Pavement Rehabilitation Project 
Northbound Lane Closure: Tue, Aug 31–Tue, Sep 14

Alcosta Blvd Pavement Rehabilitation Project Northbound Lane Closure

As part of the ongoing Alcosta Boulevard Pavement Rehabilitation Project, northbound Alcosta Boulevard between Veracruz Drive to approximately 400 ft north of Pine Valley Court will be closed from Tuesday, August 31 to Tuesday, September 14 to complete the proposed roadway improvements. Please follow detour signs during the closure and use caution while driving in the area.

San Ramon Performing Arts Tickets Now on Sale

San Ramon Performing Arts 2021-22

San Ramon Performing Arts is proud to present the upcoming 2021-2022 Season!

This season will feature Jake Shimabukuro (November 6, 2021), The Purple Xperience (February 27, 2022), and The Underwater Bubble Show (March 27, 2022) at the Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center (10550 Albion Road).

Fall Recreation Registration Open to Residents

Recreation Guide Fall 2021

The Fall Recreation Guide is available online, and registration is open to residents!

Registration opens to non-residents on August 23.

Culture in the Community Celebration 2021: Performer Applications Open

Culture in the Community

The 4th annual Culture in the Community Celebration will take place on Sunday, October 17 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the San Ramon Community Center (12501 Alcosta Blvd).

The Culture in the Community Celebration is a community event to celebrate San Ramon's rich diversity of cultures with food, crafts, booths, music, dance, and more. Culture in the Community is fun, family-friendly, and free!

Applications are currently being accepted to participate in the event as a performer, host a booth to share your culture, and more.
