Announcing Tenants

Sunset Development announced this week a  list of tenants that will soon arrive in San Ramon at the City Center!

City Center will be anchored by THE LOT, a 10-screen luxury cinema AND dining venue.  Joining this cutting edge retail experience will be personal fitness center Equinox, Fieldwork Brewing Company, Boba Guy, Ramen Hiroshi, M ( a brand new clothing store), Alys Grace, Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, and West Elm.

Construction Update - March 22, 2018

On-site Improvements

  • Staff issued the Site Development Permit (SDP) for the City Center Bishop Ranch Project in August 2017.
  • Sunset Development’s contractor, Plant Construction, continues construction of on-site civil, landscaping, grading, drainage, and parking lot improvements.
  • Construction is progressing with the steel building structure top out completed and exterior wall framing underway.
  • As of March 1st, the roof covering for the steel structure was completed and the exterior metal siding installation is progressing.
  • The construction of the interior improvements related to the shell structure are proceeding in preparation for tenant improvements.
  • This steel structure will house The Lot Theater, which is expected to begin tenant improvements on or after March 19th.
  • Construction of the restaurant tenant improvements are expected to begin on or after April 2nd.
  • Tenant improvements for other retail stores is expected to begin after June.
  • The concrete structure, which is the larger of the two structures and includes the parking structure, completed the last major concrete pour on February 2nd and is considered in construction terms to be "topped out".
  • Site improvements outside of the building footprint continue. Improvements related to the plaza and parking lot have begun.
  • Completion of the center is on schedule for fall 2018.

Off-site Improvements

  • Staff issued the SDP and Encroachment Permit for the off-site improvements along Sunset Drive and Bishop Drive adjacent to the City Center Bishop Ranch Project in December 2017.
  • Off-site improvements include new street lights, traffic signals, a new mid-block signalized pedestrian crossing on Bishop Drive, a new bike trail connection to the Iron Horse Trail, and new enhanced street corners.
  • Construction of off-site improvements began in January 2018.

Construction Schedule

Bishop Drive: March 19th to April 13th

  • Complete installation of median curb ramp
  • Complete installation of remaining curb ramps


Sunset Drive:  March 19th to April 13th

  • No major work scheduled

Please be aware that work on Bishop Drive and Sunset Drive may require periodic lane closures.  Typically, lane closures will occur during non-peak hours from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  When required, night work may occur with lane closures from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.  Occasional weekend work may also take place.
