CURBSIDE SERVICESValley Waste Management Holiday Schedule Garbage and recycling collection in San Ramon through Valley Waste Management does not occur on the following holidays:
If your service falls on or after these holidays, your pickup will occur one day later through Saturday of that week. Curbside Garbage Collection Those residents receiving curbside services should place all containers (garbage, recycling, yard trimmings and waste oil) at the curb before 5:30 a.m. on their regular service day. The containers should be placed squarely facing the street without blocking the sidewalk, and allow 2-3 feet of clearance on all sides so that the automated truck arms can pick them up. Four (4) sizes of residential garbage containers are available from Valley Waste Management:
If you can recycle more (see below) and "trash" less, you can save money by getting a smaller trash container. Call Valley Waste Management (837-3356) if you want a different container or for other services. Recycling Upgrade
Additional Green Waste Cart
Valley Waste Management provides an extensive curbside recycling program under contract with the City of San Ramon. Recyclables are collected in a 64-gallon cart on wheels. Also, do follow the Container Recyclable Guidelines. Contamination of recyclables with non-acceptable materials decreases the value of the load, and may ultimately cause rates to go up to compensate for lost revenue.
