Traffic Signals, Traffic Signs and
Street Name Sign
Maintenance
Program
Traffic signal and traffic
sign maintenance crews provide routine and preventative
maintenance and repairs for the City's 57 traffic signals and 7 warning
flashers. In addition, the crew provides immediate emergency repairs
during normal working hours on traffic signal equipment and provide
emergency service during non-working hours. If you see a traffic signal that is not
working, please report it to the Public Services at (925)
973-2800 or complete
a CRM request.
In addition to
traffic signals maintenance the staff is also responsible for the maintenance of traffic
signs and street name signs.
Two years ago the City Council
adopted a new street name sign design. Due to the cost of replacing
every sign in the City, the City is currently replacing the signs
based upon
street
sweeping zones. Each year signs are replaced in a new zone.
