Incident Synopsis:

Over the past several months there have been 19 reported burglaries to residential garages in the Dougherty Valley area of San Ramon. Five of those burglaries have occurred in the past two weeks. All of the garages were entered using a tool which defeated the locking mechanisms and left no signs of forced entry.  The items stolen ranged from tools, electronics, a motorcycle, firearms, jewelry and several other misc. items.

During the investigation, Detectives developed information of a possible suspect living in San Ramon. On 05-16-12, San Ramon Detectives conducted a search in the 1100 block of Amberstone Lane in San Ramon. During the search, officers located a large amount of stolen property from several of the reported burglaries as well as at least one that had not been reported. Officers also found the tool used to defeat the locking mechanisms.

In the evening of 05-16-12, San Ramon officers located and arrested 23 year old San Ramon resident Chase Adamic. He was booked at the Contra Costa County jail on the following charges:

Residential Burglary (459 P.C.)
Receiving Stolen Property(496 P.C.
Violation of Probation(1203.2 P.C.)
Possession of a Controlled Substance (11350(a) H&S)
Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance(11550 H&S)
Possession of Paraphernalia(11364 H&S)
