The mission of the Fiscal Unit is to ensure effective and efficient management of the Police Department's financial and other resources.  Related to this mission are three goals:

1. To ensure our employees have the best possible tools we can afford to perform their duties.
   
   
2. To assist the Chief in ensuring that the department operates within its annually appropriated resources.
   
   
3. To support the pursuit of leading technologies and interoperability.

The daily responsibilities of the Finance Coordinator include preparing the annual budget and monitoring its execution, procurement, revenue management, grants development, performing financial analyses, providing office supplies and equipment, and policy development related to these functions.
