Public Safety Power Shutoff

(Updated Oct 10, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.)

Due to high-risk fire conditions, PG&E conducted a Public Safety Power Shutoff in San Ramon around 11 p.m. on Wednesday October 9, 2019, primarily impacting the northern and western portions of the city. Power has now been restored to all affected areas, and PG&E has confirmed there will be no additional shutoffs impacting San Ramon during this weather event.

City Programs:

For any City facilities closures resulting from the shutdown, affected customers will receive a full refund. For canceled programs, customers will receive a notification if the class will be rescheduled or if a partial refund will be issued.

Emergency Preparedness:

To help communities prepare for Public Safety Power Shutoffs around extreme weather or wildfire conditions, PG&E has put together a safety checklist, factsheet and resources at prepareforpowerdown.com.
