>>>>Click here for Homebuyer Assistance Resources<<<<

  • Does the City of San Ramon currently offer direct down payment assistance?

The City does not currently offer a direct down payment assistance program. The programs listed in this booklet are available to qualified applicants looking to purchase a home in San Ramon. You are encouraged to periodically check the City of San Ramon’s website (http://www.ci.san-ramon.ca.us/) for other possible affordable housing opportunities.

  • I notice that many homebuyer assistance programs have income limitations. What are the very low income, low income and moderate income levels?

The chart on page 9 reflects what the current income ceilings are for each of the categories. Please refer to each program for their specific income limitations.

  • What program is best for me?

Applicants are encouraged to consider every program to determine which is best suited to meet your needs.

  • Can programs be combined?

Many programs can be used in conjunction with one another. For example, the Mortgage Credit Certificate can be used with all of the programs listed and the CalHFA programs often allow the layering of down payment programs.

You are encouraged to speak with each of the program representatives to understand how matching programs can be best accomplished to meet your needs.

  • Where can I obtain further information on the home buying process?

You may contact Brooke Littman, City of San Ramon Housing Programs Manager at 925-973-2573 for further assistance.
