PROJECTS UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Athan Downs Park

 

  1. ADA and Safety Regulations for Playground Upgrade Project - This project will retrofit playgrounds at various City parks to provide access to playground facilities in compliance with the Americans with Disability Act and compliance with Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) safety regulations.
     
  2. AMBER LED TRAFFIC SIGNAL REPLACEMENT PROJECT - This project will replace 40 intersections' amber incandescent light bulbs with energy efficient LED (Light Emitting Diode) signals.
     
  3. AQUATIC CENTER CONCRETE DECK RESURFACING PROJECT - This project will provide for the replacement of the concrete decking around the pool at the Aquatic Park.
     
  4. AQUATIC CENTER PLAY STRUCTURE SAFETY FENCE REPLACEMENT PROJECT - This project will provide for the replacement of the safety fence around the pool with play structure at the Aquatic Center on Broadmoor Drive.
     
  5. ATHAN DOWNS IRRIGATION BOOSTER PUMP INSTALLATION PROJECT - This project will provide the installation of a Flowtronics irrigation booster pump to increase the current PSI to the optimum operating pressure.
     
  6. CENTRAL TRAFFIC SIGNAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM UPGRADE PROJECT - This project will upgrade the City's central traffic signal management system by installing new hardware and firmware in all the City's traffic signal controllers and new software at the central traffic management system console.
     
  7. CENTRALIZED IRRIGATION SYSTEM UPGRADE PROJECT - This project will upgrade the irrigation controllers that are older than ten years and convert the controllers to utilize digital communication throughout the City.
     
  8. CITY FACILITIES HVAC DUCT CLEANING AND EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT PROJECT - This project would provide for the cleaning of the duct systems as well as the replacement of the HVAC equipment at the various City facilities.
     
  9. CITYWIDE STREET LIGHTING RELAMPING PROJECT - This project will provide for annual relamping of streetlights and photo cells throughout the Citywide lighting zone 1.
     
  10. CROW CANYON GARDENS FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT - This project will provide for the renovation of the greenhouse and storage area as well as the fencing around the Gardens.
     
  11. CROW CANYON ROAD PAVEMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT - This project will provide for street rehabilitation work on Crow Canyon Road from San Ramon Valley Boulevard to Bollinger Canyon Road. 
     
  12. DOUGHERTY ROAD CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENTS - This project will widen Dougherty Road from four to six lanes from Old Ranch Road to the Alameda County line and from Old Ranch Road to approximately 1800 feet north of Old Ranch Road. This project will also construct left and right turn lanes and a traffic signal at the intersection of Dougherty Road and Old Ranch Road. 
     
  13. DOUGHERTY VALLEY SERVICE CENTER FURNISHINGS & EQUIPMENT PROJECT - This project will provide the furnishings and equipment for the new Service Center in Dougherty Valley.
     
  14. FOUNTAIN AND SWIMMING POOL EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT PROJECT - This project will replace the four pool heaters at Olympic Pool and Aquatic Park.
     
  15. GALE RANCH MIDDLE SCHOOL TEEN CENTER PROJECT - This project will provide furnishings for the Teen Center at Gale Ranch Middle School which will consist of computers and furniture.
     
  16. PARKING LOT PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE PROJECT - This project will resurface the parking lots at Central Park Community Center, Athan Down Park as well as the Senior Center.
     
  17. PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT - Street Rehabilitation of work in accordance with Pavement Management Program for necessary overlay, slurry seals and reconstruction of streets programmed for rehabilitation.  
     
  18. PINE VALLEY MIDDLE SCHOOL MODULAR CLASSROOM & OFFICE PROJECT -  This project will provide for the installation of a portable classroom at Pine Valley Middle School for use for the After School Club Program.
     
  19. PUBLIC ART IN PARKS PROJECT - This project will provide for a commissioned piece of public art for Central Park as well as other City parks throughout the City.
     
  20. PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS - Annual Pavement Repairs, Sidewalk Repairs, Drainage Canal Road maintenance along south San Ramon Creek.
     
  21. SAN RAMON VALLEY BOULEVARD NORTHBOUND REFUGE LANE INSTALLATION PROJECT - This project will remove portions of the median along San Ramon Valley Boulevard at the intersections of Talavera Drive, Woodborough Way and Westside Drive to accommodate for the installation of small refuge lanes.
     
  22. SAN RAMON VALLEY BOULEVARD/MONTEVIDEO DRIVE LEFT TURN LANE MODIFICATION PROJECT - This project will provide for additional left turn storage capacity for the existing southbound left turn lane at Montevideo Drive by modification of the center median to maximize the southbound storage space.
     
  23. SAN RAMON VALLEY BOULEVARD PAVEMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT - This project will provide for street rehabilitation work on San Ramon Valley Boulevard from Crow Canyon Road to Norris Canyon Road. 
     
  24. TRAFFIC SIGNAL BACKUP POWER PROGRAM - Phase II - This project will install battery backup power supplies for emergency operation of traffic signals at all remaining 43 intersections.
