

The San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) is a large suburban unified school district in Northern California which serves students from the communities of Alamo, Blackhawk, Danville, Diablo, San Ramon, and Walnut Creek. Approximately 20,300 students, kindergarten through twelfth grade, are enrolled in seventeen elementary schools, four middle/intermediate schools, and three high school campuses.
In addition, the District offers alternative education opportunities which include a continuation high school and special education and independent study programs. While several programs operate on an extended year basis, all regular programs are operated on a traditional school year schedule.
The SRVUSD employs approximately 1,400 full-time individuals. In addition, 500 substitute and other personnel are employed annually by the District. The student population has grown steadily since the 1980's and current enrollment projections indicate continued growth through the year 2000.
