  • Economic Development
The Economic Development Department considers and implements programs and projects that enhance the San Ramon economy and strengthens the fiscal resources of the City. The Department represents the City on numerous local and regional organizations including the Chamber of Commerce, Contra Costa Council, Tri-Valley Business Council, and the Tri-Valley Convention and Visitor's Bureau.

  • Redevelopment Agency
The Redevelopment Agency is a governmental entity separate from the City of San Ramon, but is closely related, as the City Council members serve as the governing board.  It was established to redevelop certain defined areas of the City of San Ramon.  Under State law, it is also responsible to set aside funds for affordable housing in the City.

  • Housing
The Housing Program provides assistance to the City Council and Redevelopment Agency in the development of housing policies and programs which will facilitate the production of single-family, multi-family, and special needs housing that is affordable to all household income levels of the community. Housing monitors federal, state and local compliance of affordable housing agreements, and provides staff support to the Housing Advisory Committee which works to develop policies and programs in compliance with the voter adopted Housing Element of the General Plan.
