Business License Division (Finance Department) 2226 Camino Ramon A business license is required for doing business in the City of San Ramon. Licenses must be obtained upon starting a business in the City and must be renewed annually. Economic Development Department 2401 Crow Canyon Road The goal of the Economic Development Department is to assist new and growing businesses in San Ramon. Staff can assist businesses that have questions about required permits and procedures. Planning/Community Development Department Planning Services Division Planning Services is responsible for all environmental and land use related services and permits. Planning also provides valuable information regarding population and demographics, zoning and general planning information including information about new development in San Ramon. Transportation Service Division The Transportation Services Division is responsible for planning and implementing programs to ensure effective, convenient and safe transportation for people and goods in San Ramon. The Division's programs include Transportation Planning, Transportation Demand Management (TDM), and Regional Transportation Coordination. Building and Safety Division Building and Safety Services promotes health and safety in the construction and maintenance of buildings and structures, and the maintenance of property through enforcement of uniform building codes, conservation standards, regulations, and ordinances. Engineering Services Department 2401 Crow Canyon Road The Engineering Services Division is responsible for the administration and implementation of the Capital Improvement Program (CIP), and for the review and inspection of development projects. Public Services Department 5000 Crow Canyon Road The City of San Ramon Public Services is comprised of five Divisions: Administration, Street Maintenance, Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance, Parks Maintenance and Facilities Maintenance.
