Emergency Mental Health Support:

If you are experiencing a mental or emotional crisis, call Contra Costa County's 24-hour Access Line at 1-888-678-7277 for mental health resources, or the Contra Costa Crisis Center at 1-800-833-2900 for 24-hour crisis support.

You can also call the  Contra Costa County Helpline for social and health services at 2-1-1 (toll free from any phone).

Non-Emergency Mental Health Support:

Discovery Counseling Center

Discovery Counseling Center is a local non-profit organization that offers mental health services on a sliding scale based on family income.

If you need help during this difficult time, call (925) 837-0505. You can leave a message with a convenient call-back time and the team will contact you as soon as possible.

Although offices in Danville and San Ramon remain closed because of the COVID-19 crisis, Discovery Counseling Center therapists continue to provide critical mental health wellness services via tele-health either with a phone or video session.

 

Primary Care Providers

Mental health is a covered condition under insurance. You can contact your primary care provider for a referral to covered services.

MediCal Health Access Line

Primary care providers can also provide referrals for MediCal patients. You can also call the Mental Health Access Line toll-free, 24 hours a day at 1-888-678-7277.
