Vance Phillips - Chief Building Official

Building and Safety Services promotes health and safety in the construction and maintenance of buildings and structures, and the maintenance of property through enforcement of uniform building codes, conservation standards, regulations, and ordinances.

THE BUILDING DIVISION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Monitoring and inspection of projects in all phases of construction performed by residents and contractors.
  

• Review and issuance of building permits for construction of buildings, alterations and accessory structures. This work includes all work not within the public right-of-way.
  

• Code Enforcement:  The division is charged with the enforcement of the City of San Ramon Municipal and Zoning Ordinances
