Registering for a Class

  • Registration is required prior to attending a class.
  • You are welcome to submit your registration at anytime; however, all registration forms are processed on a lottery basis (Except when registering online).
  • Once a class has reached maximum enrollment, a waitlist will be established. If space opens or a new class is created, you will be notified by telephone.
  • If you have a disability that requires an accommodation to participate in programs please call 973-3272 or click here for further information.
  • Please make your selections carefully. A charge will be assessed for all refunds, transfers, withdrawal and credit requests.

Resident Status
To qualify for Resident status you must be a permanent resident with proof of a valid address in the City of San Ramon. Family members on an account must be the children of a parent or their spouse, who are permanent residents of San Ramon.

* Non-resident rates apply to anyone living outside of San Ramon City limits.
** American Express, Mastercard and Visa payments must have signature of cardholder and card expiration date before your registration can be processed.

Online Registration

Purchasing Tickets
To purchase tickets for the Front Row Theater, Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center or other ticketed events online visit: www.SanRamonPerformingArts.com or call our box office (925) 973-3343. Tickets may be purchased online up to two hours before the showtime.

Box Office for ticket purchasing is now located at the Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center, 10550 Albion Rd, Tuesday - Friday 12pm - 5pm. Box Office will also be open at both theaters one hour before showtime.

Kiosk Self-Service
The Dougherty Station Community Centers is equipped with a self-service station that allows you access to our online registration during and after business hours. Must have family barcode and pin number to register. Call 973-3200 or 973-3350 for more information.

Withdraw/Refund/Credit/Transfer Policies

Your satisfaction matters to us! If you are dissatisfied with a program at anytime, please contact the Parks & Community Services Department immediately so we can assist you.  Please call (925) 973-3369 or email parks@sanramon.ca.gov.

Processing Fees:
All refunds, transfers and withdrawals will incur a fee as follows: $5 for each program/class $72 and under, 7% of program/class fee for each class/program over $72.

7 Days Before the Program Begins or the Registration Deadline:

  1. You may withdraw from the program/class online and have a credit placed on your account without incurring the processing fee.
  2. Refunds (less processing fee) will be issued for requests received 7 days prior to the start of the class/program. Refunds will be returned in the form of the original payment or can be left on your account as a credit.

Within 7 Days:

  1. Credit (less processing fee) will be given if the program meets the minimum attendance requirements.
  2. Refunds (less processing fee) will only be given if a substitution is made for your spot.

After the Program Begins:

    • All refund requests after the program begins are not guaranteed. Program supervisors   will review them on an individual basis.
    • Failure to attend a program (no shows) will not be granted a refund or credit.
    • Refunds or credits will not be issued for requests received after the program is finished.

Inclusion Services for Individuals With Special Needs
The San Ramon Parks and Community Services Department welcomes and encourages the participation of children and adults with disabilities in all of our programs and services. To facilitate opportunities for participants with and without disabilities to engage in recreational pursuits together, the Parks & Community Services Department provides inclusion services. To ensure appropriate accommodations are met, please register at least 2 weeks in advance for pro-grams or classes. For specific questions regarding inclusion opportunities and accommodations, please call 973-3250 or 973-3272.

  2. Complete registration form checking the “special accommodations box” on the registration form
  3. Register at least 2 weeks ahead to allow us to make arrangements

Scholarship Program

The City of San Ramon Parks & Community Services Departmnet has developed a scholarship program for San Ramon residents requesting financial assistance to participate in programs and classes. San Ramon residents who meet the qualifications and income requirements, as well as contribute a minimum of $15 towards each registration fee are eligible to apply.

The City of San Ramon believes all participants and spectators have a right to a positive, safe and enjoyable experience while participating in programs and events offered through the Parks and Community Services Department. It is therefore expected that everyone treats people and
facilities with respect and abides by all City and Department policies, rules and guidelines. The City of San Ramon reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for failure to abide by these guidelines.
